Use of Zovirax
Zovirax treats shingles, chickenpox, suppress genital herpes infections and other conditions.Usage
If prescribed. Take it orally along with meal or without it. You should drink extra fluids taking Zovirax. Start treatment at the earliest stage or symptom of genital herpes or shingles. Complete the whole treatment period.Class and Mechanism
Zovirax prevent the viral multiplication but can’t kill the virus, neither prevent its transmition to others.Missed Dosage
Avoid double dosage. Take the skipped one when remember. Skip the missed dose when it's nearly time for another.How to store
Under 25 C degrees but avoid refrigeration.Precautions
If you are allergic to any of Zovirax ingredient or valacyclovir never USE Zovirax. Zovirax may affect some medical conditions (pregnancy). Tell the physician if you use herbal medications or non prescription medicine. Notify the physician about your weakened immune system of problems with kidney.Tell the physician about all medicines you take that may come into interaction with Zovirax such as drugs that may do any harm to kidney (amphotericin B, NSAIDs, cyclosporine, aminoglycoside antibiotics, vancomycin, tacrolimus).
Side Effects
General body discomfort, diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, headache look for medical help immediately if you have:Aggressive behavior, confusion, decreased urination, lower pain in back, red, swollen, blistered, or peeling skin, hallucinations, urine with blood, changes in mood, bruising or bleeding that are unusual, seizures, decreased consciousness, strong allergic reactions like itching, mouth, lips, face, tongue, swelling, hives, rash, chest tightness, difficulty breathing.
